Travel Information

General Guide

Nagoya Convention & Visitors Bureau, one of the sponsers of PCS 2010, provides a lot of useful information for foreign travellers coming to Nagoya:
and much more. Please check the site.

Getting to Nagoya

By Airplane

Nagoya has two airports:
CENTRAIR has international direct flights from foreign countries and connecting flights from Narita International Airport (NRT). From CENTRAIR, take the Meitetsu Airport Express going to Meitetsu Nagoya station (about 30-40 minutes).

Nagoya Airport has domestic flights only. From this airport, take an airport bus to Nagoya station (about 20-30 minutes).

By Train

Nagoya station is easy to access by taking the bullet train (called "Shin-Kan-Sen") directly connecting to major cities in Japan.

From Narita International Airport (NRT) near to Tokyo, take the Narita Express going to Tokyo station and take the bullet train to Nagoya station (about 3-4 hours).

From Kansai International Airport (KIX) near to Osaka, take the Airport Express HARUKA going to Shin-Osaka station and take the bullet train to Nagoya Station (about 2-3 hours).

Note:
From October 2010, it was announced that international flights to Haneda Airport (HND, Tokyo International Airport) will be increased from around the world. If you take this flight, take the Keikyu Line to Shinagawa station and take the bullet train to Nagoya station (about 2-3 hours).
